A sample size of 5,000 is not indicative of the majority of the supposed 11 million users already using the service. But we also need to factor in a couple of things aside from the inaccuracies of a survey. Apple can't exactly just straight up lie about their current userbase, but how exactly are they calculating active users? Also, what percentage of users have already disabled the auto-renew option for their subscription?
I'd like to know both of those things, but something tells me I'll be waiting for awhile.
I don't buy the Post's claims, and I'd like to see how many of Apple's 11 million and climbing users hang around past their trial. I know I plan to stick with it, but I'm apparently in the minority amongst the people I know.
