City of Portland sues Uber

Shit just keeps, getting, worse for Uber. Unfortunately, this seems like a result of a company culture that is rotten to the core, and, as such, is not likely to change without a dramatic restructuring of its executive lineup. It's frustrating because they've grown so quickly and created a service that is so easy to use; they truly are the darlings of the start-up world (see: the latest round of fundraising), and I want to feel good about supporting them. But I don't. I can't. How can anyone in good conscience use this service and support this behavior without feeling dirty? You're either ignorant or complacent, and it's not something that's worth it even though the experience for the customer is delightful (most of the time).
